L-2 POLYNOMIAL

Class IX Math Notes for Polynomials •  An expression p(x) = a 0 x n  + a 1 x n–1  + a 2 x n–2  + ... an is a polynomial Where a 0 , a 1 , .......... an are real numbers and n is non-negative integer. •  Degree of a polynomial is the greatest exponent of the variable in the polynomial. •  Constant polynomial is a polynomial of degree zero. The  constant plynomial  f(x) = 0 is called  zero polynomial. •  Degree of zero polynomial is not defined. •  A polynomial of degree one is called a  linear polynomil  e.g. ax + b, where a ≠ 0. •  A polynomial of degree two is called a  quadratic polynomial  e.g. ax 2  + bx + c where a ≠ 0. •  A polynomial of degree 2 is called a  cubic polynomial  e.g. px 3  + qx 2  + rx + s, p ≠ 0. •  A polynomial of degree 4 is called a  biquadratic polynomial  e.g. px 4  + qx 3  + rx 2  +...

In this  Indian name , the name  Srinivasa  is a  patronymic , not a  family name , and the person should be referred to by the  given name ,  Ramanujan . Srinivasa Ramanujan   FRS  ( / ˈ s r ɪ n ɪ v ɑː s   r ɑː ˈ m ɑː n ʊ dʒ ən / ; [1]  22 December 1887 – 26 April 1920) [2]  was an Indian  mathematician  who lived during the  British Rule in India.  Though he had almost no formal training in  pure mathematics , he made substantial contributions to  mathematical analysis ,  number theory ,  infinite series , and  continued fractions , including solutions to mathematical problems then considered unsolvable. Ramanujan initially developed his own mathematical research in isolation: "He tried to interest the leading professiona...
